Stay in one of our three upstairs guest rooms (one ensuite, two sharing a hallway bathroom), all including breakfast, bedding, towels and Wi-Fi. Share the kitchen, living room, music room and dining room with the family (and a friendly dog and a rabbit), and feel free to cook, read, play piano or board and card games. Steep stairs, creaky charm and lively family life make for a fun, authentic, homely stay.
Our cafe:
Rongahuset Bnb & Café is a charming café and pub, open weekends much of the year and Thu-Sun in the summer. We serve homemade, locally sourced foods with international flavours, good coffee, organic fruit juices and local ice cream. In the evenings we have live music and cultural events from time to time, and pub nights most Saturdays until 1.
Evanger
Evanger is a tiny, picturesque village one hour by car or train from Bergen, and 20 minutes from Voss. The village is situated where the river Vosso flows out into Evangervatnet, and is surrounded by mountains and stunning scenery. If you come by car, there is free parking in the street outside, and Evanger railway station is a few minutes walk from the house. The ski centres and many indoor and outdoor activities in and around Voss are 20-60+ minutes away, by train or car. There is a little beach with icy water just two minutes from the house, and hiking trails in every direction. We also have two kayaks that can be used when the weather is good.
